A belated kudos to our friends at St. Petersburg College's Collaborative Labs! They celebrated their 20th Anniversary this year, as well as opened a new facility in the SPC Downtown campus. Collaborative Labs has been a partner of the Innovation District from the beginning - facilitating our first strategic planning workshop in 2017 and then conducting a refresh earlier this year. Below are the visual illustrations that were created in those events and have been a powerful tool for articulating our vision.

The 7th annual State of Science and Innovation took place on January 15th at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. This favorite event was once again sold out. The in-person and online audiences heard from five innovators and one special guest about the remarkable work they are doing.
2025 marked the 11th year for the St. Petersburg Science Festival and the 30th year for Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute's MarineQuest. It was a fantastic opportunity for 1200+ 4th and 5th graders on School Days and 9K+ community members on the Public Day to participate in hands-on activities exploring all facets of STEAM. Kudos to the sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and Steering Committee for another successful year.
The St Pete Science Festival is looking for volunteers and exhibitors to participate in the February 7 School Day and February 8 Public Festival. This regional celebration of the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) is a fun event for all ages.
