PVM is a software engineering and digital services firm whose mission is to harness the power of data for positive change. It is currently in partnership with The USF Flood Hub for Research and Innovation to improve flood-related data management and dissemination. Making flood and rainfall data more organized and accessible empowers smarter decision-making, ultimately making it possible to take action to reduce flood risks and adapt to rising sea levels. The partnership will improve statewide sea level rise analysis, rainfall projections and flood vulnerability assessments. CEO Pat Mack founded the company in San Diego and later returned to his hometown of St. Petersburg to establish a center of excellence as a founding member of the Innovation District’s Maritime and Defense Technology Hub. At the Hub, PVM holds a top-security clearance and maintains a certifiable Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). PVM is the largest minority-owned tech company in the city.
