The St. Petersburg Innovation District, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, and USF St. Petersburg have partnered to host a special event – the State of Science in St. Petersburg.
The Innovation District is the professional home to hundreds of scientists and physicians. These individuals are leaders in their fields world-wide but are often unknown locally. They are working to solve childhood illnesses, maintain the oceans, and develop new technology. This special event was kicked off by Mayor Rick Kriseman and Innovation District Board President Dr. Jonathan Ellen. Then eight researchers had an opportunity to showcase their stories in a series of fast-paced, brief presentations. This year focused on life science and marine science.
The speakers were:

Dr. Mohamed Rehman, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital: Precision Medicine
