Each year, the A Woman’s Journey health symposium offers relevant women’s health information delivered by Johns Hopkins Medicine experts who are at the forefront of medical advancements and research across various medical specialties.
At Johns Hopkins All Children’s, we know healthy women support healthy, thriving families, which is why we’re committed to helping women across our region learn, share and explore the latest in health care topics.This empowering one-day program offers the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of women’s health issues from renowned Johns Hopkins faculty physicians.The event will feature the latest information about the national opioid crisis and how it impacts women, what the genes and chromosomes that make up our DNA reveal about risks for disease and the opportunities they offer for more precise treatments and how changing the composition of bacteria in our bodies affects our health.Attendees will learn from Johns Hopkins Medicine experts, including some based at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Dr. Prabhu Parimi, Dr. Sandra Brooks and Dr. Melissa Crenshaw work at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg and are developing programs that will support mothers, babies and families throughout Florida and beyond.
