About This Event

FOCUS St. Pete is a community orientation program for professionals who are eager to establish civic relationships and learn more about the inner workings of the community with a minimum expenditure of time. The program is sponsored by the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association and the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce®.The 2019 FOCUS session is Thursday, June 20th: 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM and Friday, June 21st: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.OBJECTIVES

  • Broaden professionals’ working knowledge of the community in a 13-hour program
  • Acquaint participants with formal and informal decision-making
  • Inform participants about the issues and challenges facing the city
  • Provide direction for participants to become engaged in community affairs
  • WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Professionals (and their spouses/partners) from both the private and public sectors. Candidates generally occupy key positions in their organizations and are new to the area or have accepted new or expanded responsibilities.FOCUS St. Pete is limited to 35 participants. The cost is $300 per participant and $100 for a spouse/partner. The fee includes all meals and tours.
