The St. Petersburg Innovation District and the region are the professional home to hundreds of scientists, doctors, technologists, and innovators. These individuals are leaders in their fields worldwide but are often unknown locally. They are working to solve childhood illnesses, maintain the oceans, and develop new technology.The Innovation District hosted a special event on September 24, 2019, to showcase these individuals and their stories called the State of Science. There was a series of eight fast-paced, brief presentations. The reception following the program gave attendees the rare opportunity to continue the conversations with the presenters.
